White House in Spring by John Ross Key Silk Scarf

White House in Spring by John Ross Key Silk Scarf

Silk scarf depicting the iconic painting of the The White House, a 1914 painting by John Ross Key, grandson of Francis Scott Key, author of "The Star Spangled Banner." The painting shows the White House from across the North Lawn, which is filled with greenery and blooming flowers surrounding the central fountain. Key began his career as a cartographer and draftsman.

Exclusively designed for the White House Historical Association by Halcyon Days of London, England. Halcyon Days was founded in 1950 in Mayfair, London, originally selling antique gifts while working to revive the nearly lost craft of enamelling on copper. By 1970, it had established its own production facility, enabling the brand to expand its range of handcrafted goods. Today, it is known for fine bone china, accessories, and enamel boxes, all still made in its West Midlands workshops with a continued focus on traditional craftsmanship.
